Our aims
Our children should have:
Some knowledge of the Bible and Christian beliefs
Some knowledge of the major religions other than Christianity
Our children should try to:
Behave in accordance with the ideals of their own religion
This is based on the Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education in Hereford and any other special needs within the class. The syllabus is predominately Christian; other faiths are studied alongside Christianity. It is a subject where children consider some of the big questions of life. They study the world faiths to see how others have responded to such questions. As a Church of England School 2/3rds of the teaching is based on Christianity. Children also explore the following main religions in the world: Judaism, Hinduism, Sikhism and Islam.
