What People Think…
“Pupils make an outstanding contribution to the smooth running of the school and are very involved in the local community. Strong links with local cluster schools also benefit pupils. There are good relationships in classes and pupils are, therefore keen and involved. Lessons are lively and engaging. The school’s promotion of equality of opportunity is good, as all pupils are valued and treated as individuals.”

Active Mark
Whitbourne was awarded the Active Mark in 2008. This was awarded for our commitment to an exceptional delivery within the P.E. and Sport Strategy.
Eco School Award
During 2010 an Eco Committee was formed of children from each year group. The children have worked hard to make the scghool more Eco friendly. They are now drawing up an action plan for the school. We have been awarded the Bronze Award.
Parents and the Community
Parental involvement in all aspects of school life is valued. It is considered to be particularly important in promoting good behaviour. Staff believe that with parents’ support, the behaviour policy is more effective.
When, and if, difficulties or concerns arise with individual pupils, parents are contacted as soon as possible. This is the responsibility of the Head teacher in consultation with the class teacher.
